We curate art and books, working with current artists, as well as selling secondhand art and literature. We hope to help people find love in art, and curate accordingly. We work with art that lives outside the mainstream which we love and believe you will, too.
We believe that art is vital for personal and communal happiness and progress. It helps to process emotions and develop an understanding of the world and its potentials. Art, in its consumption and creation, nurtures imagination and understanding. A society with an unlimited artscape is a society with unlimited potential, its citizens made savvy by perspective-taking, made ambitious by imagining a better place and how to get there.
Our business starts with the question, “How can we help cultivate a thriving, art-conscious community?” Our mission is to expose more people to more art, and create additional revenue streams for artists. We offer art by artists who are excluded from the mainstream, but whose work could make any living space or common room more vibrant and “uncommon”. It might cost a little more than a mass produced art print or poster that one could buy on Amazon, but we hate Amazon and hope that you do, too. We invite you to find alternative voices and perspectives, to see the world’s contours sharpen with novel perspective.
